A couple weeks ago, I posted a link to some Supurbia #1 preview pages over at Bleeding Cool, colored by Gabriel Cassata. Here are my pencils for some of those pages. Check back soon for more art!
Also, here’s the solicit for Supurbia #2, out in April!
What goes down when the capes come off? Meet the “Real Housewives” of Earth’s greatest super-team, the Meta Legion! But as the Fritsche family tries to cover up Night Fox’s sordid affair and Hella Heart relapses into drug addiction due to Sovereign’s messiah complex, the rest of the Meta Legion is too preoccupied with their own personal problems to notice the evil lurking beneath the cul-de-sac’s surface… From rising star writer Grace Randolph (Marvel’s NATION X, HER-OES) and hot new artist Russell Dauterman, SUPURBIA takes the familiar super-team and turns it on its head with a scandalous, TMZ-fueled look at what it’s like to live with a superhero!

The project I’ve been dying to talk about has been officially announced! Supurbia, a new series from BOOM! Studios, hits comic stores everywhere this March! The series is written by the amazing Grace Randolph, with art by me and some killer color by Gabriel Cassata. Check out the cover to issue #1 above, drawn by Alé Garza.
Here is the official solicit:
What goes down when the capes come off? Meet the “Real Housewives” of Earth’s greatest super-team, the Meta Legion! It’s the egos, the tantrums, and the betrayals of the super set. Find out what happens behind the masks as superhero families are faced with the sordid problems of everyday life – and then some! From rising star writer Grace Randolph (Marvel’s NATION X, HER-OES) and hot new artist Russell Dauterman, this series takes the familiar super-team and turns it on its head with a scandalous, TMZ-fueled look at what it’s like to live with a superhero!
As an avid fan of the Real Housewives (of Atlanta – I can’t get enough NeNe) and soap opera-y superhero comics, I couldn’t be happier to work on this project. From designing the characters to penciling the book, I’ve been loving this job! Here’s hoping I can share more art soon.
More on the series over at Bleeding Cool, including some great backstory from Grace. Also, check out the BOOM! editors’ Tumblr for a sneak peak at issue #1.
Can’t wait!

Happy New Year, everybody! To celebrate, here are some drawings of Daniel Craig in bondage. (That’s the traditional way to ring in the new year, right?) I did the sketches last year for costume designer, Trish Summerville, for the film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Her design for this apparatus changed a bit for the final film to appear more homemade.

…is youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! (Yes, that song has been on repeat since Thanksgiving.) Christmas time for me always means drawing holiday cards. Check out this year’s selection below. The elf illustration was used by the Costume Designer’s Guild as their holiday card this year.
